Before you enrol, please be aware of the following:

All students must attend a minimum of 7 out of the 9 classes each term in order to receive a pass. If this is not possible, you will need to discuss this with your lecturer or the admin team.

You can request an extension from your lecturer for the final assessment, however, the maximum extension is two weeks. If you are unable to hand in your work by this time you will need to re-sit the class. If it is due to extenuating circumstances, please discuss this with your lecturer.

If your circumstances change and it is no longer possible for you to study, you have until Week 5 of term to defer your course to a following term within the next year. However refunds cannot be issued, and students are liable for all tuition fees as of the Term Census Date, which is the last Friday of the previous term. Fees paid are rolled over to the returning term. Withdrawals prior to the Term Census Date will forfeit the 20% non-refundable deposit paid.

Early Enrolment Discount

Duration

10 weeks, nine weeks face-to-face classes and one non-teaching week before assessment. Students should expect to do an extra six hours per week of their own work.

Required Materials

A computer is great but optional. If you don’t have your own computer you can come in and use the CCP’s computers outside of class time.

Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. We recommend an Adobe photography plan.

A digital SLR or Mirrorless camera.

Additional Information

Ever needed to stitch a panorama, cut objects out of their background or remove a stobie pole from a photograph? This is the class for you. Perfect for those who need basic skills in Photoshop and Lightroom to clean up and lightly edit an image or to get a foundation in creating photo manipulated artworks. You will also become proficient at maintaining and storing your photographs so that you no longer have to search your computer for hours trying to find an image.

This course is a core component of the Certificate IV in Photography and Digital Imaging.
